Planning and decorating in my Happy Planner has been such a fun AND functional hobby for me this past year, so on my blog I want to begin sharing with you an inside peek of my planner after it’s been decorated for the week. To view my other weekly spreads this past year, be sure to follow me on Instagram @thedestressedmom_ . If you’ve never seen this method or technique related to planning before, you may wonder what’s the deal with all the stickers and tape. For me, it’s simply a motivational technique to stay consistent with using my planner functionally. I love pretty things and well, by making my planner just a little more of that keeps me motivated to use it to help live a well planned and thus, less stressful life.
The planner I use is the “Hello Life” Happy Planner, which may be purchased at Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, the Me and My Big Ideas website here or the link below.
This week I decided to incorporate orange, black, and gold for a Halloween-inspired theme and I love how it turned out!
Most of the stickers seen in this week’s spread are from the Value Pack- Planner Basics by Me and My Big Ideas. My orange washi tape is from The Dollar Tree and the black washi tape is from JoAnne.
The cute white pumpkin displayed is from the Target dollar spot and my orange pen is a Papermate limited edition flair tip marker. I LOVE these markers. The fine tip allows me to maintain my writing within the limited space of the boxes in my planner and there is absolutely no bleed through on the paper. These markers are also perfect for all your adult coloring needs.
And before I go, here’s a quick peek into my coordinating spread for my Mini Happy Planner. When this tiny cutie pie of a planner was released at Hobby Lobby, I just had to get it. It’s perfect for my purse planner and goes with me everywhere. In it, I list all my errands and to-do’s while I’m on the go.
The cute gold camera paper clip and quoted pocket card are both from Hobby Lobby.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s planner spread and that you find some planner inspiration from it.
Let me know in the comments what your favorite planner is!
